As a result of the transaction, Eurovarasto's property and entire business, including self storage rental and trailer rental, have been transferred to Cityvarasto's ownership. The self storage site is located in a visible and central location in Oulu's Limingantulli at Jääsalontie 122.
Limingantulli is one of the largest commercial hubs in the Oulu area.
"We are very excited to be able to build growth in Oulu. The central location of Limingantulli is a great addition to our existing sites. We can offer our customers even better opportunities for easy and safe self storaging," says Cityvarasto's CEO Ville Stenroos.
Talcap Oy (Eurovarasto) has been merged into Cityvarasto, and a facade renovation is planned for the site (see illustration).
The Limingantulli self storage site offers various sizes of self storage units for different needs. The sizes of the self storage units start from one square meter (1 m²) and the largest self storage units are 16 m² in size. Renting a storage unit is easy and affordable. Urbanization creates a need for additional space.
Cityvarasto has noticed that small apartments and storage spaces create a need for additional space, and self storage units are ideal for storing household items.
"KonMari has never meant to me that all items should be completely gotten rid of, but rather keeping items organized and clearing floors and shelves of items that are not needed all the time. We want to offer a storage place for those items," says Stenroos.
Customers rent self storages, for example, during a move, an overseas assignment, a change in a life situation, or a renovation, as well as an extension of home storage space
At the Limingantulli site, customers can also rent a van or trailer for transporting their items.
The company aims for strong growth
Cityvarasto Oyj has grown strongly in recent years. With the new business transaction, the company aims to strengthen its position, especially in the Oulu area, as well as a nationwide self storage company.
In the Oulu area, Cityvarasto already has 3 sites: Alppila, Rusko, and Ruskonselkä (formerly known as Oulun Monivarasto).
Nationally, Cityvarasto already has 71 locations in the largest cities across Finland: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Oulu, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kotka, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Naantali, Mikkeli, Järvenpää, Kerava, Turku, Tampere, Seinäjoki, Salo, Savonlinna, Pori, Porvoo, Hämeenlinna, Rovaniemi, Ylöjärvi, Vaasa, Hyvinkää, and Tuusula.
The Cityvarasto group also includes PakuOvelle.com Oy, which rents vans, and Suomen Opiskelijamuutot Oy, which handles moves.
