Cityvarasto Oyj's self storage site in Kouvola Kasarmimäki was opened on 4.4.2022.
A stylish self storage hotel was renovated in the beautiful, protected building during the autumn and winter. The total area of the building is 1,045 square meters and it was built in 1900 for the use of the army of the Grand Duchy of Finland. The building has previously served as an army equipment warehouse and as a warehouse for the City of Kouvola's own use, so the self storage operations were well suited for the premises and the area.
At the Kasarminmäki self storage site, you can rent self storage units of different sizes for different needs for both companies and private consumers. There are self storage units ranging from cube-sized locker storages to small warehouses of up to 15m2.
The self storage site is located in a very central location in Kasarminmäki, Kouvola, at Tykkitie 4. Kasarminmäki consists of old protected buildings that have served as an army garrison in their time. The area is listed as a nationally significant built cultural environment. Today, Kasarmimäki is also home to XAMK University of Applied Sciences in South-Eastern Finland and the Business Development Centre.
